OpenAI has announced that its editing tool Canvas, introduced back in October is now available as a part of its ‘12 days of OpenAI’ announcements. People can use Canvas to edit, get feedback and improve code produced by ChatGPT.

The notebook interface of Canvas is placed right next to ChatGPT so users can keep editing text and code while using the AI chatbot.

Canvas allows collaborative editing so both the user and ChatGPT can work on a document together with the chatbot giving specific feedback in the form of comments.

ChatGPT Canvas is available for free as well as to Plus and Pro users. But free users will have limited access to the tool. Canvas can be used via the web and the ChatGPT desktop app for Windows.

Additionally, users can also run python code directly inside a canvas document, and the editing notebook can also be used for custom GPTs.

OpenAI has also introduced their premium subscription plan ChatGPT Pro for $200 a month and its AI video generator, Sora for Plus and Pro users.
