Apple reportedly will be releasing a large foldable iPad by around 2028. Mark Gurman revealed the news in yesterday’s Power On newsletter saying a leaked document describing Apple’s plans had been posted on X.
The 18.8-inch device is said to have an almost invisible crease which would function like two iPad Pros side-by-side.
There have been constant rumours including a report from The Wall Street Journal around Apple releasing a foldable iPad or MacBook as one of their first foldable devices. While Gurman has called the device iPad-like, the massive tablet could function either as a Mac or an iPad depending on the operating system Apple goes with.
An internal display roadmap from Apple that was also leaked on X showed that the company had plans to release OLED MacBook Pros in 2026 and then a MacBook Air OLED updated model in 2027.
Besides, the hardware company is still working on a foldable iPhone, according to a previous report by Gurman had shared. This iPhone is also not expected to hit the market before 2026.
Apple hasn’t confirmed these reports yet.
